Meet The Clox. Originally from Kazakhstan they were founded by singer and lead guitarist Denis Orynbekov and drummer Ruslan Baimurzin. In 2009 they moved to New York where they met Igor Reznik who joined them as their bass player. I met them in 2011, when I had the opportunity to shoot a music video for their song “Jules Verne”. It was a great experience. They are a hard working band, who since then put out three records and consistently perform in venues across the city. Being caught up in our own projects, we lost touch after the music video shoot up until a few months ago, when I reconnected with Igor who mentioned that the band had two new members – Peter Breed (keys & sax) and John Sully (guitar) – and generally has taken on a new direction. I was curious to hear them jam in this new formation. I went over to their new rehearsal space in Midtown with my camera and caught them right in the beginning when they were warming up. It was refreshing and inspiring to see them. There’s some great moments. Hope you’ll like it. Enjoy! -Stephan
