“Meet Annie and Mau, also known as Momotsubaki. The name ‘momo’ in Momotsubaki comes from the story by Michael Ende, a story about time-thieves. And “tsubaki”, or “camellia” in English, is a flower they both like. Listening and watching this otherworldly sounding duo perform on a bridge next to Yoyogi park in Tokyo while business men went to work felt like being transported into a surreal Japanese Irish French fantasy. It felt special. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did when recording them.” –Stephan Knuesel
